Milk Reception to Open Stilton Cheese Vats

The automatic control of unloading milk tankers, CIP and routing to the pasteuriser. Pasteuriser sequencing and control of the pasteuriser and filling of open table cheese vats.

System used Schneider M340 PLC with remote IO over Ethernet. Magelis touch screen HMIs for operator control and interaction.

OST Cheddar Cheese Vats

System upgrade of OST cheddar cheese vats, with recipe control. Central PLC and remote IO over Ethernet. Touch screen HMIs for recipe entry and supervisory control, smaller HMIs on the vats for recipe selection and operator interaction.

Further remote IO to control the vat CIP system, with Specview logging system to record temperatures, times and conductivity of the cleaning.

System used Schneider M340 PLC with STB remote IO and Magelis HMIs.

Wincanton Blockformer and CIP upgrade

The upgrade of the control system for Wincanton cheese blockformers. CIP system for washing the blockformers automatically and Specview logging system to record the CIP Times, Temperatures and Caustic strength.

The system was upgraded using Schneider M340 PLC with STB remote IO over Ethernet, Magelis HMIs for operator control.

Yoghurt Plant

Full pasteurisation, routing and incubation yoghurt plant with final product routing to the fillers and CIP system for both raw and finished product systems.

The system is a combination of Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 Ethernet PLC with Beijers and Magelis HMIs with communication over Ethernet.

Column

Evaporator Control System

The control of start up and production on a milk evaporator, including monitoring the density of the final product. Project included panels and installation.
The system is based around Allen Bradley Compact Logix and Allen Bradley Panelview Plus.

Dunelm Cheese Cutter

A simple system to cut blocks of matured cheese for retail packaging. It replaced an older, obsolete PLC that had broken down.

The system used a Schneider M221 to replace a Mitsubishi FX and operated with the existing manual controls, sensors for automatic running and safety interlocks.

Juice Blending and CIP System

The system controls the production of Orange and Apple Juice from the squeezing of the oranges, through pasteurisation to the fillers, blending different juices as required.

The system is based on multiple Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 PLCs with Schneider Magelis HMIs for operator control and Specview monitoring system.

Full Cheddar Cheese Production Line

The system involves full milk standardising pasteuriser, raw cream collection and pasteurisation with full CIP system. Finished cream production and CIP. OST cheese Vat with cheese tables and conveyor system.
The control is based on Schneider M340 PLC with Ethernet, Magelis GOT touchscreen HMIs and Altivar ATV71 Inverters.
